Home is the preferred location for most people with an illness or disability. A variety of services may be needed to keep a patient safe and comfortable at home. Some people require IV medication or physical therapy, others need assistance with personal care tasks such as bathing and meal preparation.

Finley Home Healthcare brings all of these services -- skilled professional nursing care, physical therapy, home health aide services, social work services and more -- to you at home. Our home care professionals deliver high-quality health services and supplement the care you receive from family and friends.

We're committed to meeting your total health needs. Members of our team work with you and your family to minimize the stress of an illness or disability that can be physically, emotionally and financially difficult.

  • Other Support Services: If you require a service not available through Finley Home Healthcare, such as homemaking services or respite care, we can help you obtain this service through a referral to other community resources (i.e. Hospice, the Visiting Nurse Association, and your Area Agency on Aging).

Who Pays for Home Healthcare?
Care at home is a benefit of Medicare. Home health care services (if guidelines are met) are paid for by Medicare, Medicaid, most private insurance companies, including workers comp. The staff of Finley's Home Healthcare Department process all claims and provide direct billing your insurance company. Generally insurance covers all cost associated with homecare services.

Who is a Candidate for Home Healthcare?

  • Anyone who is about to be discharged from a hospital or nursing home and needs additional care. Examples include Shortness of breath, pneumonia, aftercare-Surgery trauma, joint replacement, medication management, wound care, heart problems, diabetes, wound vac, COPD, and emphysema.
  • Anyone who is frail, ill or disabled and needs extra help to live independently at home.
  • Anyone with a chronic health problem, such as congestive heart failure, kidney disease, diabetes or respiratory disease.  
  • Anyone who is recovering from outpatient surgery and needs short-term assistance at home. 
  • Anyone who has given birth and could benefit from follow-up care for themselves and their infant. 
  • Anyone who is terminally ill and wants to die in dignity and comfort at home. 
  • Children with health concerns.

Operating as a department of The Finley Hospital, Finley Home Healthcare ensures continuity of care from the hospital to home. Every effort is made to provide a smooth hand-off from one care phase to the next. There is connection between services and communication efficiencies in place to ensure quality care and patient comfort. Hospitalization, however, is not a requirement for a referral to home care services. We accept referrals from you, a family member, your physician or a social worker.
