Rehabilitation Program Evaluation

What to Score...
The FIM (Functional Independence Measure) scores and Function Modifier scores should reflect the patient's actual performance of the activity, not what the patient should be able to do, not a simulation of the activity, or not what they are expected to do in a different environment.

The concept of Burden of Care
- Refers to type and amount of assistance required for a disabled individual to perform basic life activities effectively.
- The question is: How much assistance does the individual receive from another person or with the use of an assistive device?

Performance Improvement is the concept of measuring the output of a particular process or procedure, then modifying the process or procedure to increase the output, increase efficiency, or increase the effectiveness of the process or procedure.
