Busy schedules, stress, medical problems - all can get in the way of healthy eating. The Babka Wellness Weight Loss Center provides strategies for staying on track with your weight loss goals no matter what life throws your way!

Our weight loss consulting team includes registered nurses and registered dietitians. These team members are experts in the field of weight loss and weight maintenance, and hold certifications or additional training in fitness and diabetes education.

Our team has been providing weight management services to the Dubuque Tr-State Area for over a decade! While many programs, pills and products come and go, our medically-focused counseling, support and nutritious foods are designed to assist you in the long-term management of your weight and health.

Babka Wellness offers an innovative program to preserve lean muscle and curb hunger during weight loss called "THE PROTEIN Rx Plan"

THE PROTEIN Rx Plan:

• Allows a flexible, easy approach to meals and snacks utilizing New Direction high-protein shakes, puddings, soup and bars.
• The New Direction foods are used as part of a nutritious meal or snack. You may also choose high-protein sources from your own food.
• Each New Direction shake, pudding or soup provides the protein in 4 ounces of lean meat! A meal plan is provided for several calorie levels outlining the addition of other foods such as vegetables, grains, fruit and healthy fats.
• New Direction foods are already measured, require little preparation and make mealtimes easy!
• If you decide to not utilize the New Direction foods, The Protein Rx Plan can still be used with all your own food.

The Healthy Start Package

• Starts you toward your weight loss goal using "THE PROTEIN Rx Plan".
• Includes the initial visit, 3 follow-up visits and the New Direction foods for a month.
• This discounted package allows for one New Direction shake, pudding or soup and one New Direction snack bar daily.
• Inital consultation with our registered dietitian
• Food Choices pocket guide, weekly food plan and record, weight tracking card
• Shaker cup
• Tote bag
• Insulated lunch bag
• Cost = $200 for the 4-week program, $180 each when two or more individuals attend the initial consultation. 

For "The PROTEIN Rx Plan" using your own food, or New Direction foods occasionally, the

• Cost = $80 for the inital 1-hour visit, $64 each when two or more individuals attend , $10 for each 15-minute follow-up visit.

Wellness Consult:

• Perhaps you are already following a healthy food plan or have other nutrition goals, but still have questions. You may schedule on one-time or periodic visit(s) with the dietitian.
• Cost = $45 for 45 minutes, $60 for 60 minutes

Available to the community, our foods include shakes, puddiings and bars that are delicious, high protein, and vitamin/mineral-fortified. They may be purchased by any individual that desires a healthy meal or snack alternative!

Cost = $22 for 7 New Direction shakes, puddings or soup
           $9 - $11 for 7 New Direction snack bars
