Finley Volunteer Services Department receives Governor’s Volunteer Award

The Finley Hospital Volunteer Services Department will receive the 2010 Governor’s Volunteer Award on Tuesday July 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the University of Northern Iowa Gallagher/Bluedorn Performing Arts Center. This award is based on outstanding commitment and service. “The devotion of volunteers like you help Iowa consistently remain in the top 10 states in the nation for its volunteerism rate,” states Iowa Governor, Chet Culver, “Thank you for contributing your time, dedication and talent to make a tremendous difference in our state.”

Kris Gross, Iowa Director of the Senior Health Insurance Information Program, (SHIIP) nominated the Finley Volunteer Services Department for the Group Length of Service Award.
