The Finley Sunshine Circle Gift Shop Gifting Committee donated $2240.96 to The Finley Hospital for patient healthcare needs. The funding will purchase 275 medicine boxes to help patients take medications correctly and promote independence with medication management. The medicine boxes, at the cost of $1,031.25, are for distribution to patients by Finley Home Health Care nurses.

The Gifting Committee also donated $1,209.71 to the Finley Family Birthing Suites

to purchase a Symphony Electric Breast Pump and Trolley. This equipment will aid mothers with breast pump needs, both on an inpatient basis and outpatient for their babies that remain in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The Sunshine Circle is a group of approximately 60 women volunteers from the Dubuque area community who have worked to serve patients’ needs – particularly those of women and children at The Finley Hospital – for more than 100 years. In 2009 alone, The Sunshine Circle raised and donated $58,883.00 to be used specifically for patient needs at The Finley Hospital.
